Looking to lose some pounds quickly? Fast and safe weight loss is possible - but only if you do it right. Just keep in mind that we're only talking about losing a few pounds here. 5, maybe 10, within a few weeks. No matter what anyone tells you, you're not going to safely lose 20 lbs. of fat in 2 weeks. It's just not possible. Plus, long-term weight loss success usually only occurs after many months of slow, steady body fat reduction through increased exercise and healthier eating. It's also important to remember to check with your doctor before starting any intense weight loss program.
That said, there are some proven steps you can take to lose a few pounds quickly, without hurting yourself. In fact, the following fast weight loss tips will probably improve your health. Sound good? Then here you go...
1. Eat a lot of food - Yes, you read that right, eat a lot! The process of eating and digesting food requires a lot of energy (calories) and significantly boosts your metabolism, especially when you eat small meals every 2 or 3 hours. The key is to eat the right foods... and none of the wrong foods, at least while you're on your fast weight loss program. The "right foods" include things like:
- lean proteins (especially low-fat chicken and turkey)
- fresh, uncooked vegetables (especially greens)
- beans and legumes (cooked without added fat)
- unsalted, oil-free nuts and seeds
- small amounts of olive oil and flax seed oil
- lots of pure water (not a real "food" but extremely important)
The "wrong foods" - what you should definitely avoid while you're trying to lose weight quickly - is pretty much everything else, but especially:
- foods and beverages with sugar
- white flour
- breads, pastas, cereals, etc.
- white rice
- potatoes
2. Avoid cravings - The most difficult part of any weight loss program is dealing with food cravings. When you stop eating the high-fat, high-sugar, high-calorie foods you're used to eating, your body rebels. Your brain tries to force you to go back to eating those unhealthy foods. But there are ways to deal with this natural response. One of the best strategies is to use distraction. Basically, whenever you feel a food craving coming on you get up and do something that takes your mind off of eating. Get out and do some exercise. Read a good book. Listen to your favorite music (fast-paced, heart-pumping music is often the best for this). Talk on the phone with a friend. Play a video game. Just do whatever it takes to distract your brain. After awhile your cravings should lessen.
3. Increase your cardio exercise - If you're already exercising on a regular basis, do more cardiovascular training to burn more fat. You don't have to do A LOT more, just enough to burn a few hundred more calories per day. Combined with your healthy fast weight loss diet it should be enough to drop a few pounds quickly. If you don't exercise regularly, you should ask your physician to recommend an easy "beginner's" exercise program that includes walking and/or light jogging. Also, try to do activities you enjoy. If you don't like running on a treadmill, don't try to force yourself to do it. Instead, go hiking, ride a bike, play some basketball/tennis/soccer/etc. Just make sure it's something you enjoy... and you'll keep doing it until your waist is a little smaller and your several pounds lighter!

Dieting - Healthy Dieting Tips
By : Carrie Reeder
If you are among the millions of people searching for a weight loss program that will produce quick results, here are a few tips and suggestions you may want to consider. There are many weight loss programs that promise rapid weight loss. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you need a diet plan that you can follow permanently.
If you want to lose weight and successfully keep it off, you must choose a
weight reduction program that is compatible with your lifestyle. For example, if
you enjoy pasta, bread, and rice, then a low carb diet plan will not be the best
choice for you. If red meat, chicken, poultry, and fish are among your favorite
foods, a diet plan that severely restricts these foods would be impractical for
you. In beginning any type of diet, make certain you can live with the
sacrifices that will be required. Although you may lose weight quickly, your
results could be temporary and it is very likely you will regain the weight you
worked so hard to lose.
Regardless of the diet program you decide upon, here are a few dieting tips that
will help you in your weight loss journey:
Avoiding deep fried foods will not only help you restrict the number of calories
you consume, but will also be a healthy way to help eliminate fat from your
diet.
Exercise on a daily basis. Even if your exercise program only consists of a walk
around the block, daily activity will help boost your metabolism so that you
burn calories more efficiently.
Make certain to drink at least 8 full glasses of water each and every day.
Consuming enough water is imperative to your dieting success.
Eat only when you are hungry. If you have finished your meal or snack and still
feel hungry, try drinking a glass of water and waiting 10 minutes. Then if you
continue to feel hungry, have a piece of fruit or some raw vegetables. You
should limit your consumption of salty, fat-laden snacks and candy. It's better
to consume additional calories in the form of protein-rich, healthy foods than
quick snack foods that provide little or no nutrition.
The best diet plan is one that you can live with the rest of your life.
Exercise, plenty of water, and smart food choices will help you obtain the body
and healthy lifestyle you have always wanted.
There are many products available to help you lose weight. There are
supplements, diet plans, programs and online support systems to

Weighing in on Weight Loss
By : Ben Sather
Dieters have long searched for secret paths to easy weight loss. Soon enough, anyone trying to lose weight will discover a mind-boggling variety of weight loss plans, even some that appear to contradict others. The reason for this may be that that every person has a different set of factors to consider when starting a weight loss diet.
Individual differences in knowledge about food as well as differences in individual preferences make certain diets more appealing than others to each individual. Motivation and past experiences with dieting may make some people look for weight loss plans that are very scripted, while others will opt for more general information to apply to daily life.
One thing to remember when deciding how to go about losing weight is that there is no single best way to lose weight. There are, however, some basics common to all successful weight loss plans.
The basics of weight loss are simple.
To lose weight, you must consume fewer calories than you burn. Calories are burned through exercise or products that boost metabolism. Eating less, as well as choosing low calorie or low fat foods limits the number of excess calories that must be burned in order to lose weight. The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to become educated about what foods and behaviors to choose.
Once you know the basics of good nutrition and exercise, you can develop a successful weight loss plan. The most successful weight loss efforts do not fall into place overnight. You will have to do some experimenting and careful research to find the method of weight loss that works best for you.

The Reason Most Nutrition Diets Don't Work
By : Laura Thompkins
There are actually a couple of reasons why the majority of nutrition diets out there today just plain don't work for most women. I say most because there are always exceptions and because all bodies react to different dieting conditions differently. This is why there is no one, across the board, winning for everyone diet. If you're interested in something different for once, read on.
Most nutrition diets don't work because they require that you closely monitor each and every little thing that you put in your body. How many women out there are sick of calorie counting after the first day of doing it, let alone after a couple of weeks or more. Most diets also require you to starve yourself which only serves to slow down your metabolism and ironically make it more difficult to effectively burn fat so that it ends up staying on you longer when you do eat.
Most of the popular nutrition diets allure and trick women into thinking that they are effective simply because of the sheer complex nature of their fundamentals and what they require you to do. When you get into technical calorie counting and measuring out portions and what you eat every minute of the day, it's not fun to eat or live your everyday life anymore and hardly worth the alleged results.
It's also incredibly difficult to stay motivated on such a complicated diet. Motivating is one of the most important aspects of a diet as it is the key to sticking with anything and achieving real results.
The secret in a diet is simplicity. Try THE simple but effective diet, The Day Off Diet today and throw out each and every other nutrition diet from your mind and your pantry because you've finally found something that works.

Easy Weight Loss -- 5 Steps to Lose Weight
By : Michael Smith, MD
Is it easy to lose weight? Yes. Losing weight is easy. I see it everyday. Patients of mine come into the office as happy as can be because they lost 15 pounds on the newest easy weight loss plan.
It's easy but can you keep it off?
My patients may feel great but none of them keep the weight off. Just as quickly as they lost weight, my patients following easy weight loss plans, gain it back...fast!
Gaining weight, specifically re-gaining weight lost while dieting, should be the focus of weight loss programs. Other things, like easy weight loss, are distracting and costly for all of us. Every year thousands of obese and overweight people do not lose weight because of easy weight loss distractions.
Why are fast and easy diet plans so attractive? Well, what could be better than losing weight and looking good fast? How about lasting healthy weight loss?
Why do you think diet plans focus solely on losing weight and say very little about keeping it off? Because it's easy to lose weight and it's next to impossible to prevent weight re-gain.
Diet plans take the easy road and provide dieters a quick short lived solution.
From Atkins to the Zone, weight loss diets have perfected colorful ways to disguise one simple easy weight loss principle. All diets can lead to easy weight loss by following this one easy principle.
Low carbohydrate diets, low fat diets, negative calorie diets, low energy density diets--all apply this one principle. And this one principle leads to easy weight loss. Do you know what it is?
To experience easy weight loss...eat fewer calories.
Holding other things constant, like exercise, simply eat fewer calories and you will lose weight easily. Whether or not you keep the weight off depends on how easily you lost it.
The Easy Weight Loss Steps
1. Week One -- Cut calories by 100
2. Week Two -- Cut additional 150 calories (total=250)
3. Week Three -- Cut another 150 calories (total=400)
4. Week Four -- Final cut 100 calories (total=500)
First month weight loss total = 2-4 pounds
500 calories cut = 1-2 pounds/week of weight loss
End of second month weight loss total = 6-12 pounds
The chance of keeping the weight off = 5%
To accelerate weight loss and weight re-gain, just cut more calories...fast. Or you can hold off on the weight loss plan above and learn more about weight re-gain and how to prevent it. Stay tuned for Weight Re-gain Prevention.
Until then, healthy living!

Weight Loss Diets with Negative Calorie Foods
By : P. Mehta
Negative calorie foods are said to use more calories to digest than the calorie content of the foods themselves, resulting in a negative calorie balance. It is therefore natural to consider a diet containing these foods for weight loss.
A diet is a combination of a balanced selection of foods designed for medical or nutritional reasons. A good diet should include all major food groups. The weight loss diets (with or without negative calorie foods) are made to reduce body fat and weight. Some of the popular weight loss diets are: Atkin's diet, cabbage soup diet, grapefruit diet, Hollywood diet, negative calorie foods diet, Pritikin diet, the South beach diet and the zone diet.
Most of the weight loss diets promote to eat a particular food group and restrict other food groups. Such diets may show temporary results. If you follow these restricted diets for a long time, you may develop some health problems at later stage as these diets do not contain all the necessary nutrients needed for your body.
The secret to losing weight is to eat and drink the right kind of foods until you are satisfied. Skipping of meals is not the answer for weight loss, it can rather deteriorate your health. A healthy weight loss diet plan should include vegetables, fruits, grains, lentils and beans in your diet. Following is a sample daily diet plan that is good for keeping healthy weight and good health, irrespective of whether you follow a diet plan with negative calorie foods or not.
- Skim milk and skim yogurt.
- Salads or boiled vegetables or vegetable soup as starter.
- Whole-wheat bread/tortila, whole grain cereal and rice.
- Whole grains like kidney beans, chick peas and lentils.
- Lightly cooked green vegetables.
- Any dessert with minimum sugar.
- Lean variety of meat (it is better to avoid).
- The dinner should be light. If you had bread for lunch then have rice for dinner.
Include as much negative calorie foods as possible in the above diet plan. If you are meat eater, choose from a lean variety and restrict to one serving in a day.
A diet with negative calorie foods as main ingredients can include foods that are loaded with carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals and dietary fibers necessary for keeping you fit. The diet with negative calorie foods can be tailored for fast or gradual weight loss. The fast weight loss diet that can lower the weight up to two pounds per day, is not recommended for long term. The gradual weight loss diet can reduce one pound in a week and can be followed until desired weight is achieved. The diet can be made according to ones needs. The negative
calorie foods will not give you much benefit if you are eating foods loaded with fats and sugars. If you eat a serving of potato fries, don't think that you can reduce the calories gained from fries by simply eating some negative calorie celery.

Why Do Weight Loss Diets Fail?
By : Phyllis Rogers
Most Americans wish that they weighed less than they do.
Two-thirds of us are overweight. At the same time, there are
literally hundreds of weight loss programs--each one
promising that it will help you finally lose those extra
pounds. Some of them work--and you are able to lose
weight. But most people gain back the weight they lost--and
more--when they begin to eat normally again.
Why do these programs not fulfill your dream of reaching
your desired weight--and staying there?
To find out, let’s discuss what happens to your body as you
grow older. Adults who do not perform regular strength
exercise lose about one-half pound of muscle each year
after they reach maturity. This means ten pounds of muscle
are lost during their 30s and 40s. And the rate of muscle
loss doubles in people over 50 years of age. Many women
have lost half the muscle they had at 30 by the time they are
70. In addition, most adults gain ten pounds of
weight--fat--each decade. It should be obvious that these
changes in body composition are not desirable, but most
adults are more aware of the fat gain than the muscle loss.
If you lose one-half pound of muscle each year, by the time
you reach 40, you have lost five pounds of muscle. Each
pound of muscle in your body burns about 50 calories per
day; therefore your body requires 250 fewer calories each
day to maintain your weight. When you reach 50, you need
500 calories less each day than when you were in your
twenties. Most people believe their metabolism slows
down; actually it only seems that way because they have
less muscle to burn calories.
This gradual decrease in muscle and basal metabolism
rate is also related to the increase in body fat that most
people experience as they get older if they do not strength
train. With the decrease in muscle, calories previously
necessary to perform the activities of daily living now end up
stored as fat. They then diet to lose weight, which further
reduces their muscle mass because 30 percent of the
weight lost through dieting is muscle tissue. Losing muscle
leads to a lower metabolic rate because fat needs almost
no calories to sustain itself, thus causing even more
calories to be stored as fat which makes it more difficult to
perform physical activities.
When you diet to lose weight, for every ten pounds of weight
you lose, you lose three pounds of muscle. You have
exacerbated the loss of muscle that’s already been
happening to your body.
Let’s say you lose 20 pounds by dieting without strength
training. Thirty percent of those 20 pounds you’ve lost were
muscle—that’s six pounds of muscle that is gone. If you
estimate that each pound of muscle uses 50 calories each
day to sustain itself, 50 calories times six pounds equals
300 calories each day that your body does not need now to
sustain itself. If you were eating 1,500 calories a day to lose
weight, you now have to lower that to 1,200 calories. This is
why you reach a plateau and are no longer dropping
pounds. Get the picture?
You diet to lose weight--you lose muscle--metabolism
slows--then you store more fat in your body--and you diet to
lose weight. It’s a vicious cycle that’s repeated over and over
by hundreds of thousands of Americans each year.
You are not doomed to repeat this scenario. A strength
training program will increase the amount of muscle tissue
in your body--usually at the rate of over a pound a month for
several months.
Why do diet programs suggest only aerobic exercise? Most
experts and diet gurus tell you that you should exercise to
burn fat. when you’re on a weight loss diet, but many of
them ignore strength training or give it only a cursory
mention. They tell you to walk briskly, ride the exercise bike
or use the step machine at the fitness center to burn
calories. They tell you how many miles or minutes it will take
to burn a certain number of calories. This type of exercise is
absolutely necessary to burn the fat stored in your body--but
it does almost nothing to preserve or increase muscle
mass.
I believe that if you do not do strength training as you “diet,”
you are literally setting yourself up to fail--you guarantee that
the more weight you lose, the more difficult it will be to lose
more weight. You must do strength training to keep from
losing muscle tissue. If you strength train for 12 weeks, you
can increase your metabolic rate by up to seven percent and
increase your daily energy requirements by up to 15 percent.
Bottom line: if you gain ten pounds of muscle, you’ll
increase your metabolism and your body’s caloric needs up
to 500 calories per day.
Wow! That means an extra piece of cake won’t add on
another pound. Plus--you’ll find that strength training gives
you more energy and a sense of well-being. It helps firm up
your body as you lose pounds-- so you’ll look better, too.
So get out the dumbbells or go to the gym and get started
pumping iron. You’ll be glad you did.

Learn the Secrets the Weight Loss Industry Doesn't Want You To Know About Weight Loss Diets
By : Armand Dupuis
All weight loss diets make you Fat
That’s right, because on all weight loss diets, you always gain it back, and usually with a few extra pounds as a bonus, so why diet?
What’s the point in losing 20 Lbs, and gaining back 25?
Are you fed up with being overweight, and sick and tired of going on diets?
Why go through all the struggles of dieting, the starvation, the cravings, and the ultimate struggle with willpower, only to gain it all back?
When you consider the damage this does to your health, it's simply not worth it, however...
There is an easy answer, but first...
You must understand the Biggest Problem
Definitely, one of the biggest problems in weight control is the weight loss Industry!
Surprise!!!
They want you to “Fail”; otherwise they would have no more business, think about it.
If everybody lost the weight for good, the weight loss Industry would die overnight, so they want you to gain it all back, then they lay a “Guilt Trip” on you for not sticking to your diet or maintenance diet.
Sound familiar? But...
Why should you feel guilty about not being able to stick to some totally unnatural starvation diet? That doesn’t make any sense, but that’s what happens.
However most people never look at it that way, because they are so emotionally tied up with their own weight problem that they never look at it from the other side, from the Business point of view.
It’s Critical that you understand this.
So let me give you a simple example...
Suppose that you lived in a small Town which had no weight loss clinic but was big enough to support one, so you decided to go into the Business of Weight Loss. You do some Serious Research, and here’s what you find...
You have Two Options:
1. You can put together a good weight loss diet plan which loses the weight pretty quickly, and since everybody loses the weight by dieting, they are Guaranteed to gain it all back, so... You’ll have a very profitable Business for life, or...
2. You can teach everyone how to lose the weight permanently, and go out of Business within one to two years (because everyone’s Slim now).
Which would you choose?
Good question isn’t it? You see the problem!
The reality is that the weight loss industry, just in the USA & Canada alone, is worth over $44 Billion per Year, and the failure rate is over 98%.
I Rest My Case!
One of the main reasons for that, is that all weight loss clinics give you a diet to follow, no exceptions. It doesn’t matter if the weight loss diet is a meal plan, meal replacements, fasting drinks, diet pills, or whatever, the reality is...
The faster you lose the weight by following any kind of weight loss diet...
The faster you will regain all the weight
That’s reality!
Until you can accept that, you are only playing games with your own mind. The reason is quite simple, because...
Every single weight loss diet, “slows down your metabolism”, NO EXCEPTIONS!
Every weight loss Clinic would have you believe that it’s only a matter of finding the right weight loss diet for you (theirs of course).
Here’s The Secret
If depriving yourself of food (weight loss diets), causes long term weight gain, then...
Adding food to your diet will cause long term weight loss!!! THAT’S RIGHT!
It works every time, however...
It has to be the right food. In our free weight loss program, our students keep on eating what they like and we actually add (real) food to their diet, and we help them to easily change...
Not so much what they eat, but how they eat, and...
It works “every time”
Actually, we only have one Major Rule:
NO DIETING WHATSOEVER!
Instead of putting the “Focus” on destroying the metabolism with weight loss diets, we focus on...
Rebuilding the metabolism and the fat begins to melt away. That’s the only answer you know. It’s quite easy once you know the Secrets.
I realize that’s hard to believe, but how many people do you know who went on a weight loss diet, and “Kept it off”, again...
I rest my case!
The most important thing here is for you to inform yourself, and please realize that over 98% of everything that you think you know about weight loss, was taught to you either directly or indirectly by “The weight loss diet Industry”...
And now we both know what their Motivation is: “To Keep You Fat”, so that you keep coming back year after year, and giving them your hard earned money.
Make up your Mind to not get Scammed anymore.
I hope that I’ve helped in some small way, to guide you on the right path to slimming down for Life.
Have a Great Life!
